Our Veterans Day ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Monument. We were fortunate to have Betty Thornell Wilson and her family. Betty is 102 years young and her dear brother Lloyd Thornell, a decorated WWII fighter pilot, name is on the memorial. Betty had never been seen this engraving of her brother's name until today. Betty and her family shared their family albums with members of the Post and attendees of the ceremony.
Also shown, is a photo taken at St. Louis school at the Veterans Day service held by the school where Rayson-Miller Post 899 members shared their stories with the students.
